Social Mobilization for Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Program in Benguet conducted in the Municipality of Sablan being the largest rice -producing municipality in the province. (“Largest in terms of certified inbred and hybrid seeds adopter’s entire province. For area (ha) across all ecosystems (irrigated, rainfed and upland) we rank 4th or 5th entire province.”- R. The Department of Agriculture – Rice Program along with its PhilRice partners conducted the above-stated activity in our municipality with the facilitators inviting other rice/grain producer-coordinators or lead offices in our province.

The RCEF Seed allocation was awarded to earlier identified recipients after RCEF Regional Coordinator and Facilitators from Phil Rice information dissemination of the component and merits of this program.

Ms. Delinia D. Juan, OIC PA of Benguet OPAg welcomed the guests and participants and in the course of the program, Mayor Alfredo B. Dacumos Jr. also delivered a message relative to the undertaking and in gratitude to all the RCEF Program coordinators and facilitators including the participants from inside and outside of our municipality.

Agriculturist I, Rony V. Carlos ably assisted in the proceedings of the activity being the OMAg’s focal officer for rice and grains production under the direction of our Mun. Agriculturist, Ramon M. Anacioco.
