MANDATE

• The office provides services such as relief and support to the needy, impoverish and underprivileged individuals and families of the community. It is the municipality’s arm in providing program and services that enforces the rights and promotes the welfare of different sectors of the community. Its is the forefront in relief and rehabilitation activities in times of natural and man-made calamities.

• A society where poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals, families and communities are empowered for an improved quality of life.

MISSION

• To provide social protection and welfare of the poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals, families and communities; to contribute to Poverty Alleviation and Empowerment through social welfare and development policies, programs services, projects implemented through LGUs, NGOs, Pos and other members of the civil society.

• Care, protect and rehabilitate the physically, mentally and socially disabled for effective functioning.
• Arrest the further deterioration of the socially disabling conditions of the socially disabling conditions of the disadvantaged individuals, families and communities.
• Advocate measures and policies for social welfare concerns.
